When choosing a school- make a list of things you like about a school and do your homework- and find out which schools offer the best value -graduation rates, affordability, graduates’ earnings potential, and campus diversity.
There were 102 HBCUs located in 19 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. There are 51 public institutions and 51 were private (nonprofit) institutions.
