College: It's ok. Get your application and supplement as soon as possible.
Community Colleges: Most applications are processed within 24 to 48 hours, allowing you to enroll as late as two weeks before the start of classes!
Technical/Trade Schools: Check out your local community college and/or technical college to see what they offer.
