HBCU Locations

The number of students enrolled at HBCUs rose by 32 percent between 1976 and 2015, from 223,000 to 293,000. In comparison, total enrollment in degree-granting institutions increased by 81 percent, from 11 million to 20 million, during that period.  (NCES)
